Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the VeriBag iOS application (the “App”) and the public verification service at veribag-verify.pages.dev (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service is

VeriBag is an AI-assisted consistency reference tool for luxury handbags. It compares macro photographs of a subject item to documented pattern references and produces a 22-checkpoint report.

The Service is not a legal authentication service. It does not certify that any subject item is or isn’t produced by any brand, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, Gucci, Prada, or any other luxury house. Brand names appear only to identify the subject of a user-submitted scan.

2. Subscription & Billing

Paid features (scan, report export, public verification link) are unlocked via an in-app subscription purchased through Apple. A subscription that includes a free trial converts to the full recurring price at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings, not in the App.

3. Acceptable use

• You may share the public verification link with buyers, platforms, or support agents.
• You may not misrepresent the report as a certificate of authenticity, a guarantee, or a legal document.
• You may not scrape the Service, reverse-engineer the report schema, or submit non-handbag subjects in bulk.

4. User content

You retain ownership of the photographs you submit. For V1, photos are processed ephemerally and are not persisted on our servers. The structured report (checkpoints, counts, market comparables) is stored in order to serve the public verification link.

5. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” The AI model may misread novel variations, unusual lighting, or heavily worn details. We make no warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. For high-value transactions, pair the report with a professional physical authentication.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeriBag and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability in any matter is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

We may suspend access to the Service if the Terms are breached. You may terminate at any time by cancelling your Apple subscription and deleting the App.
